What looks like pure fun is actually packed with technology and attention to detail: The marble run by artist Stefan Grünenfelder, made possible by the Roger Federer Foundation, features 14 ingenious mechanisms that make the marbles spin, pull, climb, and dance. They roll 145 meters through the adventure, with no beginning and no end. And best of all: It’s free.

Right next door, kids pedal instead of cranking: On the mini handcar, the little ones use their own muscle power to ride along real railroad tracks. For kids ages three and up, it’s all about hopping on, pedaling, and having fun. Open only in the summer—but it’s a highlight that’s sure to delight.

And while the children play, marvel, and explore, parents can enjoy refreshments, regional delicacies, and an unobstructed view of the Grisons mountains on the sun terrace of the Portal restaurant.
